Around 20 years old, this imposing grandfather or tall case clock is signed by famous maker, "Sligh of Holland, Michigan."
All original, the solid cherry case has an extremely fine finish with only minor mars, see photos. Lower glass panes are beveled. Richly engraved, the polished and lacquered brass dial and parts are beautiful on this American vintage furniture.
The brass movement keeps excellent time and runs for a week when wound. There are controls for "strike/silent" counting the hour, also there is a choice of chime tunes on the quarter hour, silent, and the familiar Westminster chimes, Whittington or St. Michaels.
Measurements of this classic case are 24" wide, 14" deep and 6' 9" tall. Original instructions are included.

This clock needs to be "set up" when delivered - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
