Dating from around 1870, this splendid Victorian round dining table is solid walnut with six matching 12" wide leaves. The satiny deep finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture.
To open, the carved pedestal splits, revealing a center leg for extra support. The skirt on the table is intricately grained natural burl walnut, with numerous shrinkage separations from age, see photos. The top has minor warps as shown.
Measurements are 44" diameter, 30" tall, legroom is 25 1/2" underneath and length with all six leaves in place is 9' 8" overall.
