Hand crafted by a Norwegian country carpenter around 1890, this primitive wormy pine cupboard has charming carved details.
The finish has warm antique patina and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain its warm luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
One glass pane is wavy, the other is more wavy. Lower doors have a working lock and hand chamfered panels. Square cut nail heads are visible on this European made folk art pantry furniture. Old brass knobs have dings, see photos.
There have been various restorations over the years, the base board is rebuilt. There are losses and shrinkage separations from age.
Two separate pieces for easier moving, size is 42" wide, 6' 5 1/2" tall and 15" deep.
