This countertop file cabinet from about 1900 came from a printing shop, but its function was said to have been for a betting board for horse racing, but there is no proof.
Nine drawers have grooves for tiny wooden pins with two numbers on them. Four upper drawers are 1/4" deep and have shallow hardwood bottoms, the larger bottom drawer has dividers. Bronze knobs appear original on this American made antique office furniture.
The finish is in excellent condition on birch hardwood. Size is 17" wide, 19" deep and 18" tall.
