An authentic Georgian period hanging corner cabinet dates from about 1790. This beautiful cabinet was hand crafted in England of solid mahogany with delicate inlaid satinwood stringing or banding.
The door panel is a single wide plank of figured mahogany, hand chamfered or raised on the back. There is a shrinkage separation from age, see photos.
Hand planing marks can be felt everywhere on this antique furniture. Hand wrought rose cut nail heads are visible on the back. A key works the wrought iron lock.
Dimensions are 30 1/2" across the crown, 44 1/2" tall and the sides are 21" from the corner of the wall to the front tip of the crown.
