An 1890's workbench was salvaged from a carpentry shop, and could serve as a kitchen island or wine and cheese tasting table. Oak, maple and pine have an excellent finish, preserving lots of mars and dings for antique character.
Exposed mortise and hand cut dovetail joints are authentic on this rugged American made furniture. Two vise clamps to hold projects have giant wooden screws. A recessed tray kept parts and tools from rolling away. Square holes were for pegs to secure door panels under construction.
The lower cupboard and drawer section was added about 75 years ago. The "butcher block" top lifts off for easier moving.
Dimensions are 7' 2" long and 34" deep including the vise handles and 37" tall.
