Carved of solid walnut in France about 1900, a lovely sideboard or server has a curio or china display cabinet above.
The old finish has wonderful warm patina and has been waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Flowers and swags are masterfully hand detailed on raised panels. Drawers have have cut dovetail joints on this antique furniture. Embossed hardware is original, doors have working locks. The original marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains, there are small losses at the left front center corner, see photos.
There are beveled glass panes in the upper compartments, inside there is no shelf but pegs to support a shelf if desired.
Dimensions are 52" wide, 22" deep, 6' 10" tall to the top of the laurel leaf crest and the base is 42 1/2" high.
