A solid fine grained oak writing table or library desk was carved in Denmark about 1910 in the Renaissance manner.
The top has been revarnished for durability, the base has its original finish in very fine condition. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There is a slight warp to the top, see photos.
Three drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, there are no keys for this antique European furniture. The trestle base is boldly scaled.
Dimensions are 66 1/2" wide, 28" deep and 30" tall, legroom is 24 1/2."
