A stunning French Art Deco 3 piece mantel clock set in three colors of onyx and marble dates from around 1925 and includes sculpture of a female figure in Egyptian garb and her dog. Professionally cleaned and oiled, the brass movement is signed "Paris" and keeps accurate time, running for a week on a winding. A silvery bell counts the hour and rings on the half hour as well.
The case is signed on the dial, "Marshand (of) Montargis," which is south of Paris. Genuine semi-precious stone has minor flakes at the edges, see photos. Cast "spelter" or white metal statues have original patination and painted details on this antique European ensemble.
Side garniture pieces or tazzas are 5" x 5" and 10" tall, the clock is 20" wide, 7" deep and 17" tall.
