This stately carved oak library or hall table from about 1885 has a lower shelf with a raised center plinth to display a prized possession.
Solid quarter sawn oak has an excellent deep finish, preserving a few mars for antique character. The drawer has round "pin and cove" dovetail joints, characteristic of the period. Brass and iron pulls are original on this American made antique furniture.
Measurements are 48" wide, 27" deep, 29 1/2" tall and legroom is 22 1/2" underneath.
