Signed by famous French sculptor, "A. Moreau" about 1900, this ARt Nouveau period statue of "Fleurs de Printemps," or Flowers of Spring is lovely. The patinated finish on this statue is understated.
This work of art was cast in spelter, a white metal alloy similar to pewter. Originally mounted as a lamp, the standard base sockets have been rewired. August Moreau (1834-1917) was one of a prominent family of sculptors, whose work is museums and collections around the world.
Size is 17" across, 22" tall and 9" deep.
