Signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati, Ohio," this pair of lawyer's or barrister's four stack bookcases are solid quarter sawn oak from the 1920's and have square brass knobs.
The original finish is very well preserved with minor mars and wear, see photos. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the antique patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Three sections accommodate books up to 11 1/2" wide and 12" tall, one section up to 14" tall. The base and top are also separate stacking sections on this American made library or office furniture.
Dimensions are 33" wide, 13" deep and 73 1/2" tall.
