Ruggedly crafted about 1915 for a Milwaukee trade school, this carpenter's work bench makes a functional kitchen island counter or wine and cheese tasting table.
Solid hard maple with a butcher chopping block top, the finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of stains, mars and dings for antique character.
There is a recessed tray to keep tools and parts from rolling away, square holes were for gluing pegs. Eight drawers have original bin pulls on this American made commercial grade antique furniture. An iron vise clamp at the end will crack any nut.
Measurements are 5' long, 5'4" including the vise handle, 24" deep and 37" tall.
