Said to be from Ohio, this Victorian period pantry cupboard was made to hold jelly from the fall harvest to last an entire year. There is a working lock to keep hungry children at bay.
Solid walnut, the finish is excellent with warm antique patina. Top and sides are wide figured boards. There are various dings, losses and restorations over the years, see photos.
Feet are replacements on this American made country farmhouse furniture. The hand dovetailed drawer has a chamfered bottom. Square cut nails are visible on the rough hewn back.
Measurements are 43 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 54" tall.
