A dramatic walnut armoire with a shaped and beveled mirror door was hand carved in France about 1900. The lavish pierced crest has flower and shell motifs on this elegant furniture.
Revarnished for durability, the lustrous finish is in excellent condition with a few mars and uneven spots for antique character. Diamond matched panels, curved sides and graceful moldings are beautiful. Locks and keys work, the door has a double throw lock.
There are small spots from age in the original plate glass mirror. The interior is curly "birdseye" maple and oak. Shelves adjust on wooden supports, this historic furniture can be disassembled for moving.
Measurements are 8' 2" tall, 51" wide, 18" deep plus 7" projection on the crest or 25" deep overall, interior depth is 14." Related pieces in photos are priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
