Hand carved of solid teak in the Dutch East Indies around 1900, this rustic hewn bench has copper nailheads. Re-glued and restored, this is a sturdy and strong antique.
The old finish has warm patina and has been waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
The seat has two irregular sections that appear original. There are shrinkage separations from age on this primitive furniture. The matching bench in photos is priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
Size is 52" wide, 20" deep, 38" tall and the seat is 21" high.
