A solid oak, ash and elm 1900 era swivel architect or drawing stool or armchair has a cast iron mechanism with adjustable height, signed "Johnson Chair Co., Chicago."
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made library or office furniture.
Reglued to serve another generation, the back is curved for lumbar support. The seat cushion is newly upholstered with natural saddle leather.
Because of the height of this stool, we would not recommend use by children, it could be tipped too easily.
Measurements are 22" wide, 21" deep, 43" tall and the seat is 29" high and adjustable upwards, the seat is 16" deep and 15" wide.
