An elegant and finely carved dining set from the 1940's includes a table with two leaves and six chairs, all with a gleaming restored finish. Any maker's signature is lost.
The table top is banded and matched olive ash burl, carved frames are maple on this American made vintage furniture. Center legs give extra stability when extended. Two original matching 16 1/2" wide leaves have skirts or aprons.
Size is 43" wide and 63" long when closed, extending to 8' long with both leaves in place, height is 30" with 26" of leg room underneath.
Large and comfortable chairs are all reglued and newly upholstered to serve another generation. Four side chairs measure 21" wide, 23" deep, 38" tall, seats are 19" high and 17 1/2" deep. Two arm chairs are 26" wide, 24" deep, 39 1/2" tall, seats are 22" wide and 19" deep.
