French Carved Walnut Bookcase Curio Display Cabinet

    This very fine mahogany and walnut bookcase or display cabinet has a hand carved crest, adjustable shelves and two doors with shaped and beveled glass. The original finish is in very good condition in a warm medium brown tone. Hand carved details are very skilled, and this cabinet was built about 1900. The interior is golden oak, and there are two drawers inside with birdseye maple fronts and hand dovetailed oak sides. This piece disassembles for moving, and is in excellent condition. The three-dimensional crest with a shell and roses is remarkably well done. Dimensions are 20" deep, 54" wide, and 7'11" tall. I-B1768
