Masterfully created about 1900, here is a wardrobe or armoire of mahogany with delicate carved accents and a door with a beveled mirror. The original finish is polished and in excellent condition, the embossed brasses are original, and drawers have dovetailed sides. The left compartment has later standards, shelves or a closet pole could be installed if desired. The right compartment behind the pair of small doors has a hole cut in the back for a TV, there are also tiny holes in the left compartment for cords. There are only very minor mars to the finish, mostly at the base, and the color is a deep rich red brown. This is a very wonderful piece, and could be used as a closet, entertainment center, or in a hallway to hide all that extra stuff that accumulates around the house. The armoire disassembles for moving, and measures 5'2" wide, 22" deep and 7' tall. J-A452 This item has sold.
