This solid walnut Victorian chest or dresser has marble tops, and a secret drawer in the base. The "Tennessee Red" marble is in excellent condition, and the mirror and candle stands are removable for shipping. Drawers have round pin and cove style dovetails indicating it is from the 1880's. The plate glass mirror is excellent, with just a few scratches to prove it's age.
The finish on solid walnut with burl accent panels is excellent for its age, and the patina is warm and beautiful. We only see restoration to the crest, everything else appears original. This authentic antique furniture chest has large wheels, which helped roll to a sleeping porch in summers before air conditioning. This majestic piece measures 51" wide, 22" deep and 7 1/2' tall.
