Hand carved of solid oak about 1895, this imposing hall stand would also serve well in a dressing or bathroom area. There are heads carved into panels around the original beveled mirror, and a lion head is the pull for the dovetailed drawer. There are pockets for canes or umbrellas, as well as coat or hat pegs on this authentic antique furniture hall stand.
The mirror has flaws in the silver, and could be resilvered, but we find it charming and choose not to replace, see photos. The deep brown finish is in very good condition, and this piece is quite solid. This country manor hall stand measures 40 1/2" wide at the crown, 13" deep and 6'7" tall. O-H350 This item has sold.
