This Victorian Gentleman's dressing case or table was hand made of solid mahogany about 1870. A brass latch allows the lid to lift, showing spaces for all the grooming needs of an elegant gentleman. The top is cut from a single plank of mahogany over 19" wide! There are also two compartments and a drawer on the outside.
The rich finish is excellent on all sides, and this table is very solid. This authentic antique furniture table was commonly known as a "Beau Brummel," named after the legendary George "Beau" Brummel (1778-1840), known as the "Prince of Dandies." This coveted piece measures 19" wide, 28" long and 31" tall. Q-D1545
