Traditional Dining Set, 10 Chairs, Hekman 10' Table

This traditional mahogany dining set includes an unsigned Hekman "Copley Square" table and 10 large solid mahogany chairs, 2 with arms. The spectacular table has a vivid flame grain mahogany center, and banding of yew, ebony and satinwood. There are only very minute flaws to the hand rubbed finish on the top and edges. Solid mahogany pedestals with brass feet support the full inch-thick top, two matching 22" leaves have matching skirts or aprons. Almost new and current on the Hekman website, this table measures 46"..... see similar items

Italian Renaissance Carved Server or Sideboard

This magnificent hand-carved Italian Renaissance style solid walnut sideboard or server has a black marble top with gold and white graining. The original finish is excellent, and heavy weight bronze hardware is original. Interior shelves are adjustable, side panels are raised and there are shaped columns at all corners. Classical motifs are deeply carved in high relief, and rich moldings give this 1920's furniture an architectural depth. Exceptional quality and workmanship is evident in every aspect of this spectacular antique. Six dovetailed drawers include three shallow.....  (added November 20th, 2008)

Italian Renaissance Carved China Cabinet or Bookcase

A magnificent Renaissance style Italian china or bookcase is solid walnut. The black marble top and deeply carved glass door add even more finesse to this wonderful cabinet. The original finish is excellent, and heavy weight bronze hardware is original. Interior shelves are adjustable, side panels are raised and there are shaped columns at all corners. Classical motifs are richly carved in high relief, and deep moldings give this 1920's furniture an architectural depth. Art Deco 1920 Schmidt-Hofer Bronze Nude Sculpture

An authentic Art Deco period bronze sculpture of a nude woman is signed by noted artist of the period, Otto Schmidt-Hofer. Dating from the early 1920's, this is a late work of the artist, who was born in Berlin in 1873 and died in 1925. His sculptures have been exhibited and sold all over the world. The base is Italian black marble with gold and white graining, and a repair to the bottom. We see no damage to the bronze figure, the beautiful deep.....  (added November 20th, 2008)

William Switzer Provincial Sideboard or Server

This elegant provincial server or sideboard is signed on a brass plaque by "William Switzer," the famous family of cabinetmakers in Vancouver that replicate historic European antiques for the high-end designer trade. Expertly crafted in Spain of solid fruitwood, the finish has been delicately distressed for the look of centuries past, although this is vintage furniture from about 25 years ago. The 18th Century design carved doors are stunning, and side panels are raised and shaped. Inside are two dovetailed drawers, and measurements are 46" wide, 20".....  (added November 20th, 2008)
