French Armchair, Needlepoint Tapestry with Bird 1910

This elegant French armchair has a hand carved fruitwood frame and dates from about 1910. The really spectacular part is the hand made old needlepoint tapestry with a bird in flight.
The seat and arms have been more recently upholstered in green velvet, and the chair is quite comfortable. The original finish is very good, and there are old shrinkage separations at the joints, see photos, but the chair is solid and does not flex. Size is 23" wide, 26" deep and 34" tall.
