Hand made by a country carpenter about 1890, this pine pie safe has bronze wire screen doors to keep flies off the bakery inside while it cooled from the oven. Lots of mars and wear to this piece simply add to its rustic charm.
On the top, hand cut square nailheads are visible. The iron latches and porcelain knobs appear original on this sturdy and substantial antique furniture, the screen has been replaced over the years. Size is 5' wide, 16" deep, and 5'4" tall. U-P1122
