This Victorian bookcase in solid walnut with flame mahogany panels and crown dates from the 1850's. Well proportioned with an architectural feeling, this glorious antique furniture has all original wavy glass and 2 separate sections of bookshelves adjustable on wooden supports. The back side shows hand planing and dovetailing, also cut square nails. Note a warp in the lower right door, and there are minor mars at the edges. There are some touchups to the largely original finish, which is in exceptional condition for its age.
The upper section is removable, and dimensions are 58" wide, 20" deep and 7'9" tall. U-B1965 This item has sold.
