This Art Deco four piece bedroom set shimmers with the gorgeous golden grain of matched satinwood, walnut and mahogany, accented with zebrawood and inlaid marquetry. Included in this vintage 1940's set are a tall chest, dressing table with etched mirror and bench, and a standard full or double bed that could be adapted to queen size.
The sleek "waterfall" design is accented with original metal and bakelite pulls. The finish is excellent everywhere, and there is a shrinkage separation on the left top side of the dressing table - see photo. Drawers are dovetailed, and the sublime artistry of the Art Deco period shows everywhere on this artful furniture.
The bed measures 56" wide, the headboard is 38" tall, the footboard is 23" tall. Five large drawers are in the chest, which is 36" wide, 21" deep and 44" tall. The dressing table has a detachable mirror, and is 4' wide, 20" deep and 5'3" tall. Newly upholstered, the matching bench is 24" long, 16" wide, and 19" tall. V-B1986 This item has sold.
