Spectacular Bombe or convex design distinguishes this lavish large triple armoire. Built of walnut burl with matched grain and delicate inlay work, this wardrobe was handmade by master craftsmen about 1920. The front and sides are bombe, making for graceful shapes everywhere. The heavy brasses are original, and the finish is excellent in a warm golden brown. Construction is stellar with hand dovetailed drawers, doors over 1" thick, and beautiful natural walnut grain everywhere. Solid and durable, the patina is excellent and this armoire was treasured and carefully used.
The armoire has an exquisite curved crest, and a curved and beveled mirror in the center door. It disassembles for moving and measures 7'2" wide, 27" deep and 8' tall.
