This Victorian Scottish gentleman's tall chest of drawers or dresser dates from about 1870. Vibrant matched flame grain mahogany and deep moldings make this antique furniture very imposing. The finish glows, and there is lots of "character," cracks, bubbles, chips and good old repairs - see photos.
The base and crown are separate pieces for easier handling, the feet have been rebuilt, and the top was never finished. The large drawers are hand dovetailed, and there are mother of pearl inserts in the original wooden knobs. Measurements are 55" wide, 26" deep and 5'7" tall. X-H392
