This solid cherrywood dropleaf table was beautifully hand-made by a country carpenter in New England about 1835. Every surface is hand-planed on this antique. The top and dropleaves are single wide cherry planks with golden sapwood grain at the edges.
There are stains, mars, warps and shrinkage separations to prove its age. It is very sturdy and solid and the satin finish is in very good condition.
The turned legs show country Sheraton design, size is 39" across, 29" tall, and with the dropleaves down, width is 19," with the drops up, it is almost 45" wide. X-T5578 This item has sold.
