Victorian Child's Maple Trunk or Chest, circa 1850

    This charming child's trunk or chest was hand-made about 1850 of golden maple. The corners have hand-cut dovetails, nails are square, and the dome or curved top is worn and wavy.

An iron key operates the wrought iron lock, and there is a swinging keyhole cover. Measurements of this authentic antique are 18" long, 11" wide and 9" tall. T5586 This item has sold.
