This seven piece bedroom set makes a beautiful and bold statement. Majestic proportions and classical elements include columns, carved borders and matched burl wood. Included are a king size bed, triple armoire, 2 bedside tables, a large chest with carved gold mirror, and a dressing table with a chair and another gold mirror.
The condition is superb throughout, and this matching set dates from about 1925. Carved of walnut, cherry and matched burl, the satiny finish is mostly original. Drawers are hand dovetailed, and the original cast bronze hardware is in excellent condition. Plate glass mirrors with etched designs are also original.
Adapted to hold a standard modern king size mattress and spring, the bed is 6'9" wide, 7'4" long; headboard is 58' tall; footboard is 27" tall.
Bedside tables are 29" wide, 15" deep and 26" tall.
The dresser is 5 1/2' long, 23" deep and 6 1/2' tall.
The armoire has four doors on three separate sections with various shelves and drawers, it could easily be fitted with closet poles for hangers if desired. Measurements are 9' wide, 26' deep and 6 1/2' tall.
The dressing table is 5'1" long, 21" deep and 6'2" tall.
Mirrors are removable, and have lavish hand carved and pierced frames in deep Florentine gold.
