Solid oak raised panels all around distinguish this Victorian oak desk from about 1895. The center has a patented mechanism that flips open to a recessed area intended for a typewriter. The sliding iron bars and mounting plate are included, and this lowered center would be nice for using a keyboard. The golden finish has various stains and mars that show this was a working desk. Deep dovetailed drawers have lots of storage, and this is very solid and substantial antique furniture. 50" wide, 33" deep, 30" tall with a 21" wide kneehole.
