This elegant mahogany secretary desk has beautiful inlaid designs and banding. When the dropfront is opened, supports extend automatically, and inside are oak compartments with tiny mahogany drawers and a door. Drawers have oak sides with hand-cut dovetails.
The finish is original except for the top. There is just enough mars and wear to give a nice patina to this antique furniture. Elegant hardware on the graduated lower drawers is original from about 1910, and the lock in the lid will not work because the lid is warped in the center, see photo.
Size is 36" wide, 18" deep, 40" tall, and the writing surface is 28" above the floor. Y-S1681
