Hand carved in walnut, this 3 piece Victorian antique bedroom set has white marble tops. Hand made about 1890, the set includes a double or full size bed, a chest with original beveled mirror plus a nightstand or bedside table.
The original finish has minor restorations and a very warm patina, the embossed brasses are also original. Marble tops are in very good condition with minor stains, and one touched up area toward the left rear of the dresser top - see photo. All three pieces of this wonderful furniture match exactly, and there are various shrinkage separations due to age.
The bed has been fitted with modern steel rails to accommodate modern standard full or double mattress and spring sets. Length is 6'10," the headboard is 4'7" wide and 5'2" tall, the footboard is 43" tall.
The dresser mirror has imperfections in the silvering, see photo, and drawers have hand-cut dovetails. Measurements are 45" wide, 20" deep and 7 1/2' tall.
The nightstand is finished on all sides, and is 16" square and 32" tall. Y-B2049
