An authentic antique Empire period center or lamp table dates from about 1825. The top is matched flame grain mahogany in a sunburst pattern, the base is a tapered and fluted column with three scrolled legs, and the brass wheels are original.
There are numerous warps, repairs and touchups as would be expected, and this table is solid and very usable. The deep rich finish is in very fine condition on this neo-classical table, said to be from New York.
