Entirely original from about 1900, this 4 piece antique queen size bedroom set is made of beautiful golden "bird's eye" maple.
The bed has been adapted to fit modern queen size bedding, the dresser has a marble top and arched beveled mirror, and the pair of bedside tables also have marble tops.
Cast brass hardware and gleaming finish are original everywhere on the intricate natural grain, with amazingly little wear for a century-plus of use. Subtle inlaid banding and graceful arches enhance the understated and elegant proportions of this antique furniture. As would be expected, there are small irregularities and a few shrinkage cracks - see photos.
The bed has modern steel side rails and a shadow or spot in the finish on the right side of the headboard, see photo. Measuring 7'4" long, the headboard is 5' wide and 5'5" tall, the footboard is 39" tall.
Marble tops are all gorgeously figured and excellent, the dresser mirror has a little "smoke" to show its age. Chest size is 49" wide, 22" deep, 6'4" tall, and the top is 39" above the floor.
