Pair of Georgian Demilune Half Round Console Tables

This pair of stunning and elegant Georgian design demilune or half-round console tables were hand made about 1900. Solid mahogany furniture, the top has a shimmering sunburst pattern in flame-grain mahogany. Inlaid banding and marquetry in satinwood distinguishes the base, and there is a curved drawer in the center with tiny hand-cut dovetails.
The finish is gorgeous, with a polished top that enhances the spectacular natural grain. Both tables are very sturdy, and there are minor cracks and shrinkage as would be typical in an antique of this age. Measurements are 53" wide, 26" deep and 31 1/2" tall.
