An American classic "Yankee" chest of drawers or dresser was hand-made in New England of solid butternut about 1835. Rich golden patina and a fine finish enhance the exceptional warmth of butternut wood.
The turned feet and original knobs are walnut, the drawers have beautiful hand-cut dovetails and chamfered bottoms. Square nails attach the back of this historic antique from the Empire period, and every surface is hand-planed.
There is loads of character on this beautiful dresser - small stains and mars show the age of this charming country furniture. Size is 44" wide, 21" deep and 40" tall.
