This pair of cast iron railroad lanterns are signed, "Pyle National, Chicago, Pat. 1924." Each has an electric lamp with heavy clear lenses, a lever operates a mechanism inside that flips a pair of green lenses into place. The clear lenses have some scratches, but are otherwise intact. Each lantern has one cracked green lens inside, with no losses. The cast iron cases are in good condition, with rust inside and flaking paint outside. The sockets are also signed "Pyle National, Chicago."
A wing nut allows the lanterns to flip open and change the bulb. These heavy lanterns measure 10" across and 9" tall, without the handle. D-R380 This item has sold.
