This writing desk or library table from the very early 1900's has the simplicity of genuine Arts and Crafts design.
The fine grained quarter-sawn oak has a wonderful deep brown finish, with repairs at the corners. The pull-out writing area with inkwell is characteristic of the Cadillac Desk Co. of Cadillac, Michigan, but there is no signature that we could find.
The original nickel inkwell and glass liner are both signed "Tannewitz, Grand Rapids."
Size is 4' long, 28" wide, 31" tall, the top of the writing surface is 29 1/2" above the floor, legroom is 24 1/2" high.
