Beautiful and bold with majestic proportions and classical elements including columns, carved borders and matched burl wood.
This large chest with carved gold mirror is superb throughout, and dates from about 1925. Carved of walnut, cherry and matched burl, the satiny finish is mostly original. Drawers are hand dovetailed, and the original cast bronze hardware is in excellent condition.
The original plate glass mirrors are removable, and have lavish hand carved and pierced frames in deep Florentine gold. The chest measures 5 1/2' long, 23" deep and 6 1/2' tall. D-B2028d
