A gorgeous New England antique, this 1840's hand-made chest or dresser has stunning tiger and birdseye grain maple.
Spool-turned columns are right and left of four large drawers with solid tiger maple fronts. Above are two small drawers faced in birdseye maple. All fit well and have hand-dovetailed joints and chamfered bottoms.
Everything is hand-planed and square cut nails were used in this historic furniture. Note - professional restoration on side of drawer.
The finish is very fine with wonderful warm patina, note mars and stains. Dimensions are 44" wide, 20" deep and 54" tall.
