Art Deco Moderne Tiger & Birdseye Maple Bedroom Set |
This spectacular sleek Art Deco or Moderne bedroom set is shimmering golden matched birdseye and striped or tiger maple. Dating from about 1940, this wonderful set includes a standard full or double bed, tall chest of drawers, dresser and bedside table.
Very well made American furniture, drawers have dovetailed solid mahogany sides and finger pulls underneath to open.
Enhancing the dazzling matched grain, the lustrous golden finish is superb.
The bed is 6' 10" long and has original grained steel rails, headboard size is 56" wide..... see similar items |

French Pearl Antique 1880 Wall Clock |
This beautiful 1880's wall clock has pearl inlay and the original hand-painted glass dial. It is Signed "E Carterer, a Li(e?)gri," the ebonized frame has old wavy glass, and is hinged to lift for winding.
The brass 8 day movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled, and keeps excellent time with a double strike on the hour.
The brass pendulum is original on this charming antique, and size is 19" wide, 5 1/2" deep and 25" tall. (added January 8th, 2009) |

Vienna Regulator 1880 Victorian Wall Clock |
This style of Victorian wall clock is called a Vienna Regulator, and this clock is entirely original in a walnut case.
The porcelain dial is undamaged, and the 8 day movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled. It strikes the half and hour, and keeps excellent time, the movement is signed "Deutches Reichs."
Behind the beautiful original pendulum is a leveling guide. Dating from about 1880, size of this antique clock is 15 1/2" wide, 7 1/2" deep and 38" tall. (added January 8th, 2009) |

French Antique Secretary Desk from Marchioness |
This stellar little French Provincial secretary desk was handmade in the early 1800's, with beautiful burl walnut and rosewood banding.
The wonderful patina has lots of character, inkstains and wear. Inside are tiny drawers and compartments, wooden pegs are visible. The leather dropfront rests on pull out wooden supports, and the glowing old finish is exceptional for it's age.
A separate wooden base is removable, drawers have hand-cut dovetails.
This desk was said to have been purchased at Christie's 1970 London sale of property from the Dowager Marchionness of Tweeddale,..... (added January 8th, 2009) |

Victorian Eastlake 3 Panel Cherry Screen |
Dating from 1880's Victorian or Eastlake period this antique screen is sometimes called "stick and ball." design.
The frame is solid cherrywood, and the three panels are newly upholstered.
The original finish is very good, and there is small hand-carved detailing at the top of all three sections. The fabric panels are easily removed and recovered.
Note some missing spindles at the top, and size of each panel is 5 1/2' tall, 1 1/2" thick and 2' wide for a total width of 6.' (added January 7th, 2009) |
