A Victorian version of today's laptop computer, this antique folding travel desk was made about 1875.
Walnut with intricate decorating of a charming country silhouette scene, this walnut box flips open to form an angled writing desk.
Under velvet-covered lids are stationery storage places, and an original glass inkwell has a brass cover in its own compartment.
The original finish has wear and touchup with beautiful golden patina, accented in black.
