Cross-Stitch Antique 1814 Linen and Silk Sampler

    A young girl's hand cross-stitch sampler in silk on linen is dated 1814. The condition is excellent, with some "bleeding" from the black silk thread onto the surrounding linen.

The simple frame is about 50 years old, and the colors and traditional motifs are still beautiful on this American antique heirloom. Overall size of the frame is 24 1/2" x 21."
