Made in New England about 1820, this magnificent solid tiger maple Pembroke sewing table is amazingly original.
The hanging needlework basket has its original pleated silk, which is in tatters. This entirely hand made country Sheraton table has hand dovetailed drawers, and the brasses appear original as well.
There is crazing and stains to the original finish, which has wonderful golden patina on all sides.
Very well proportioned antique furniture, this historic drop-leaf table belongs in a museum.
Size is almost 22" square and 27 1/2" tall, with both drop leaves raised, width is almost 40" wide.
