Signed by famous American maker, "Berkey and Gay," this antique English Tudor design dining set was beautifully crafted about 1925. The carved walnut 10 piece set includes a table with two pull-out leaves, 6 chairs, a sideboard or buffet and china cabinet.
The finish is excellent everywhere in a warm deep brown that brings out the matched walnut and burled panels. Every piece is rock solid, and brass pulls are original. The artistic carving is beautiful, and this historic furniture is well proportioned with harmonious Renaissance motifs.
Interiors are finished and drawers are dovetailed. Measurements of the table are 40" wide, 30" tall, legroom is over 24" high, length closed is 5'10" long, and with both draw leaves pulled out, total length is 9 feet.
All six large and comfortable chairs have been newly padded and upholstered, seats are 19" high. The five side chairs are 20" wide, 22" deep and 37" tall, and the armchair is 25" wide, 26" deep and 37" tall.
There is ample storage in the sideboard or buffet, size is 73" long, 23" deep and 38 1/2" tall.
The elegant china cabinet is 43" wide, 18" deep and 5'5" tall.
