A genuine antique icebox has "press-back" type carving in solid ash hardwood, a cousin of oak. The brass plate is signed "Whiteclad, St. Louis." Heavy weight brass pulls are original from the 1890's.
The finish is very good with warm patina and lots of character - stains and mars. Original tin lines the interior of this antique kitchen furniture, and dimensions are 24" wide, 17" deep and 38" tall.
